Scripture Memorization

Tonight it was impressed on me to start scripture memorization. Ephesians 2:8-10  8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
These are my first verses I will be studying this week. I’ll share in a few days, after meditating on them what all I have learned from them. Amen?

    1. Thanks! I really need to learn them that way. When I’m speaking to someone I know which verse I’m talking about but can’t say it word for word and I don’t sound very convincing otherwise. So I must memorize. 😀👍

  1. I was encouraged to memorize scripture from very young on. I find it helpful now, decades later, in my current reading of Scripture, as I still remember all of the passages I memorized as a child. Often a parallel verse will come to mind and I will find myself making comparisons and parallels I wouldn’t otherwise recognize. So, yes… I highly recommend memorization:)

    1. Awesome!!! Yes I want to start because I find myself wanting to recite one at a right time and I know which one I want to say but can’t for the life of me remember it. Lord help me!! So I am taking your recommendation and running with it. Thanks for the encouragement! 👍😆❤☝
